THE CENTER FOR TEACHING EXCELLENCE HAS GREAT OPPORTUNITIES FOR LEARNERS!
The Institute for Instructional Excellence’s Center for Teaching Excellence has received Arizona State Department of Education ADE-CTE (Arizona Department of Education-Career & Technical Education) approval for five of its technology courses. This means that instructors in both K12 or Higher Ed can receive State Certified CTE professional development units through the Center. Find out more about these classes.

The Center for Teaching Excellence offers two certificates, each with the goal of producing instructors who desire to bring excellence into their classroom. These certificates are composed of 20 course topics comprised of 52 distinct learning modules. Each module may be taken separately, or applied to courses within the corresponding certificates.
Because they are offered online, participants can interact around busy work and personal schedules. We can also arrange to run the the Teaching Excellence courses in a face-to-face environment, according to what suits you best!
Our offerings provide a perfect and affordable opportunity for institutions who wish to provide professional development opportunities to their instructors. We provide .5 CEUs (five contact hours) for every module. Each module runs five day. Some of our courses are pending Arizona CTE certification for CEUs, with approval expected by November.
Certificate for Adult Teaching Excellence

Certificate for Online Teaching Excellence
This certificate is for the instructor who is or will be be teaching in distance formats. The Certificate for Online Teaching Excellence provide you with mastery in online delivery. These courses take you far beyond the simple mechanics of the online interface. Among other things, the participant will learn different ways to communicate with learners using inteactive tools, what can be dones to make classes engaging and dynamic, how to manage time effectively, and how to transition classes from traditional formats to the online environment.
